This is a PKW-1 Chair, originally designed by Ray and Charles Eames. This example was produced by Herman Miller in the United States and dates to the year 1951. The chair is comprised of a wooden dowel base with a wire seat that is covered in a leather pad. PKW is an acronym for Pivoting (P) K-Wire (K) chair on Wooden (W) Base.

The chair measures 21.25 inches deep, 19 inches wide, and 32.75 inches high, with a seat height of 18.5 inches. This piece shows wear consistent with age and use, including a lovely patina along with scuffs and scratches to the frame. Overall, the chair is in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
