This is a BE.3 Bench, originally designed by Nicos Zographos. This particular piece was produced by Zographos Designs Limited in the USA in the 1980s. The sophisticated design features a highly polished stainless-steel base, and has a thick cushioned top that was recently reupholstered in black leather. Zographos was known for utilizing materials of only the highest quality, and the caliber of the workmanship in his pieces is outstanding.

This particular example has a corporate tag for Avon Products Inc, meaning this was from the Avon headquarters in New York City. Avon was one of the early tenants within the Solow building in NYC, designed by Gordon Bunshaft and SOM Architects. Zographos designs were a fixture of SOM specifications along with SOM's own in-house designs and thus this was likely specified for Avon by SOM.

The bench measures 22.75 inches deep, 73 inches long, and 18.25 inches high. Overall, this piece shows light wear from previous use and remains in good to very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
