This is an LC2 Three Seat Sofa, initially designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. This example dates to the 1980s and was manufactured in Italy by Cassina. Cassina has been the only exclusively licensed producer of this model since 1965. The design features an outer frame of highly polished chromed-steel, has lush black leather upholstery, and offers generously-sized removable cushions. The aforementioned designers referred to this piece as “household equipment”, a rather amusing way to look at furniture.

The sofa measures 27.6 inches deep, 71 inches wide, and is 26.4 inches high. It has an arm height of 26.4 inches, and a seat height of 18.9 inches. There is some wear to the frame, including some small scuffs and scratches. There is also a patina to the leather that has rendered it to be soft & supple. Overall, this sofa is in very good condition. The cushions sit normally within the frame. For photography, the sides just needed to be pushed further into the frame so that everything sat more flush.
