1950s George Nelson for Herman Miller Gate Leg Dining Table Walnut Frame and Top
This is a Gate-Leg Dining Table, originally designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1946. This particular examples was produced in the United States and dates to the 1950s. The table is constructed of walnut. It features a wide wooden hinge and has a double gate legs for stability.
While fully extended, the table measures 40 inches deep, 65 inches wide, and 29.75 inches high. When both leaves are down, the piece is 18.5 inches wide. The table shows light wear from previous use and overall is in very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
