1966 Gordon Bunshaft and Davis Allen for SOM Marble & Steel Side / Coffee Table
This is a Marble and Stainless Steel Coffee Table, Model TA-51, designed by Davis Allen and Gordon Bunshaft as part of SOM Design. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. was and still is an important architectural firm globally. SOM produced thousands of their own furniture designs from the 1950s-1980s, and this is a classic example. This table dates to the year 1966. The design features a highly polished stainless-steel base, and has a round, high-quality marble top.
The table measures 33 inches in diameter and 14.75 inches high. The polished stainless-steel base and marble top are in good condition with light wear apparent, including a few light scuffs and scratches. Overall, the table is in good condition with light wear. Please see photos.
