1970s Pair of Rudolph B. Glatzel for Walter Knoll Art Collection Fabric & Stainless Chairs
This is a pair of Art Collection Cantilever Arm Chairs, attributed to having been designed by Rudolf B. Glatzel for Walter Knoll. These particular examples were produced in Germany during the 1970s. The listed price includes the pair of two chairs, as shown. The chairs have highly-polished, solid stainless steel cantilever frames, and they are upholstered in a deep burgundy plush velvet fabric.
Each chair measures 25.5 inches deep, 23.25 inches wide, and 34.5 inches high. They have a seat height of 19 inches. These pieces do show some wear, including some white discoloration on the fabric, and a minor blemish on fabric on one of the chair. There are scuffs and scratches along the arms as well. Overall, this pair is in good condition. Please see photos.
