1970s Roland Carter for Lane Alpha Book Matched Olive Burl Wood King Headboard
This is a King-Sized, Book-Matched Burl Veneer King Headboard, designed by Roland Carter for Lane Altavista in 1973. It was produced in the United States in the 1970s and was part of Carter's Alpha Series. The piece is crafted of wood with a highly-figured Olive Burl veneer. The headboard has standard holes that can be attached or retrofitted to most common bed frames.
This piece measures 2.5 inches deep, 80.25 inches wide, and 42.25 inches high. We have had the piece freshly refinished, and the facade looks fresh. The corners show some slight wear on the veneer. The hidden pieces of wood that attach to a king bed frame show scuffs. Overall, this piece is in good condition. Please see photos.
