1970s Yrjö Kukkapuro for Avarte Plaano Executive Desk Chair in Birch w/ Fabric
This is a Plaano Executive Desk Chair, initially designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro in 1974. This particular example was produced by Avarte in Finland in the 1970s. The chair is comprised of a bent birch plywood shell, and it has blue fabric upholstery. The base has a 5-star formation constructed of steel, and it sports five high-quality casters.
This chair measures 26 inches deep, 25 inches wide, and 44 inches high, with a seat height of 17.75 inches. The overall height and seat height are variable due to its adjustable pneumatic lift mechanism. The chair shows some light signs of use with some spots on the fabric.
