1976 Harry Bertoia for Knoll Side Chair with Full Fabric Pad, Chrome, Yellow
This is a classic Bertoia Side Chair, Model 420C, initially designed in 1952 by Harry Bertoia for Knoll International. This particular chair dates to 1976. The design consists of a welded chromed-steel wire shell and base. This piece includes its original Knoll full seat cover in a marigold yellow fabric.
The chair measures 22.5 inches long, 21 inches wide, and 30 inches high with a seat height of 17.75 inches. This piece does show wear consistent with previous use, including stains and blemishes to the fabric pad. The foam cushion is also a bit tough. The chrome shell and frame has a bit of wear and rust, which can be cleaned to remove prior to shipping. Overall, the chair is in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
