1990s Richard Schultz Prototype Serving Trolley or Bar Cart in Steel and Glass
This is a Prototype Serving Trolley or Bar Cart, designed by Richard Schultz for his 2002 Collection. The tubular stainless-steel frame has a matte, brushed surface, and the wheels are made in gray plastic and rubber. The two shelves have new glass tops. This example was acquired directly from Peter Schultz, the son of Richard Schultz and co-owner of Richard Schultz Design. He remained a hugely influential part of the company for decades until production rights were sold back to Knoll in 2012. Please note, multiple prototypes are available from different Schultz designs.
This cart measures 23 inches deep, 41.5 inches wide, and 28.75 inches high. The stainless-steel frame is in terrific shape with some light scratches, and the wheels show some light wear. This piece has been inspected and cleaned. Overall, the cart is in very good condition. Please see photos.
