2021 Pair of Jean Prouve for Vitra Black Standard SP Chairs, Rubber, Plastic
This is a pair of Standard SP Dining Chairs, Model 204, initially designed by Jean Prouvé for Vitra in 1934. These particular pieces were produced in 2021 in Germany, and the listed price includes the set of two chairs as shown. Their bases are formed from molded steel which has been powder-coated in black, and their seats and backs are formed from hard black plastic.
Each chair measures 19.25 inches deep, 16.5 inches wide, and 32.25 inches tall. They have a seat height of 18.25 inches, and a seat depth of 17.75 inches. These pieces do show some wear from previous use, including scratches on the seats and on the backs of the bases. There are also some marks on the sides of the legs. Overall, these chairs are in good condition. Please see photos.
