C. 1970s Set of Five Arthur Umanoff for Contemporary Shells Cantilever Steel
This is a set of five Cantilevered Dining Arm Chairs, initially designed by Arthur Umanoff for Contemporary Shells, Inc in the 1970s. They were produced in the United States, and the listed price includes the set of five chairs as shown. They feature double-banded, chromed-steel backs, and have cantilevered frames. These examples are upholstered in a black leatherette.
Each chair measures 21 inches deep, 21 inches wide, and 30 inches high. They have a seat height of 19 inches. The frames show some scuffs and scratches, and the vinyl is a bit sticky. There is a blemish on the back of one of the chairs. Overall, this set is in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
